Spring–summer 2021, our second collection. It was a time when the pandemic still had us in check, and reality resembled more of a collage than a coherent narrative. We worked between uncertainty and hope, trying to find balance between what we already knew and what was only beginning to take shape. We had a sense of our aesthetic, but we were still doing more testing than following tried-and-true paths. And maybe that was a good thing—because out of that chaos emerged the forms that would later become the pillars of our collection: long, oversized silhouettes you now know as the Esme, Soho and Maree styles.
On set, everything moves fast, but without panic. In one of the first frames, Nadia poses in a lavender tunic resembling an elongated T-shirt—its cut, unchanged to this day, still works like a charm. In the next scene, she’s wearing a short dress in a deep espresso hue—the very piece that became the starting point for the Esme style. There are dark suede ankle boots, there are old-school sneakers. Contrasts take center stage: raw space versus soft cotton, the fluidity of the silhouette versus the geometry of the floor.

There’s more to these photos than just a lookbook. They’re a timestamp—a record of a moment that taught us patience, courage, and humility. It was then that we began to understand that the momonde aesthetic doesn’t have to be loud to be bold. That oversize isn’t just a silhouette, but a statement of comfort. That clothing can be a kind of refuge—from the world, from the noise, from the too-bright light.
This was our second collection. But more than ever, we felt we were on the right path.
