Why reviews matter to us
When designing new clothing collections and planner editions, we always start from one assumption: the product should stay with someone for a while. In their wardrobe, on their desk, in their bag. Customer reviews are a natural test of that intention.
Recurring themes include fabric quality, wearing comfort, oversized proportions, how garments hold up after washing. For planners – paper, daily or weekly layout, the balance between structure and flexibility, and an aesthetic that doesn't tire after months of use.
These recurring observations are the most valuable things we receive. They show what works and what's worth refining.
How we collect reviews – Trusted Shops
We collect momonde reviews exclusively through Trusted Shops – an independent review system built on straightforward principles.
Only someone who has actually placed an order can leave a review. There's no room for anonymous comments or feedback from outside the purchase process. Once an order is fulfilled, the customer receives an invitation to share their experience – at the point when they have real, hands-on knowledge of the product.
We have no ability to interfere with review content. We don't edit, amend or remove them. Every review remains exactly as it was written.
Transparency over perfect stories
Not all reviews are enthusiastic. And that's fine.
Sometimes feedback reflects individual expectations, sometimes a gap in information, sometimes a one-off situation. We treat it as part of a dialogue, not a threat.
Transparency, for us, means being willing to show the full picture – without smoothing things over or cherry-picking.
At the same time, it's worth being clear: as a brand we do have the ability to flag a review for moderation if we believe it contains false information or is damaging. But that process doesn't happen on our side.
Every report goes to the Trusted Shops team, who contact the customer directly and investigate. A review can only be removed if we present hard, unambiguous evidence to support our position. Without it, the review remains visible and unchanged.

What we do with reviews
Reviews don't stop their journey once they're in the rating system.
We analyse them when writing product descriptions, expanding the FAQ section and planning future editions and production runs. Sometimes a small comment appearing in several reviews becomes the prompt for a real change.
Some things, however, can't be resolved with a simple tweak – because they stem from the nature of production technology, material characteristics or highly individual expectations. In those moments, we don't try to "smooth things over".
We invest in education. That's why the momonde stories articles exist – where we explain in more depth the differences between materials, production processes, how fabrics behave and the functional nuances of our designs. For us, it's an honest way of closing subjects that can't be reduced to a simple good–bad verdict.
If something needs explaining, we explain it. If something can be improved, we improve it.
It's an ongoing process – based on listening, not assumptions.
